Can I change my username?
If you just want to change the name that appears next to your posts, then you can change this in your profile:
Account Related Settings (http:/forum/index.php?action=profile;sa=account) -> Name
If you want to change the name you use to login, you will need to contact an administrator.
Posts are displayed in reverse order, can I change this?
You can change this behaviour in your profile. Clear the following setting:
Look and Layout Preferences (http:/forum/index.php?action=profile;sa=theme) -> Show most recent posts at the top
Why am I returned to the thread listing after posting?
You can change this behaviour in your profile. Tick the following setting:
Look and Layout Preferences (http:/forum/index.php?action=profile;sa=theme) -> Return to topics after posting by default
Where has Quick Reply gone?
You can enable this in your profile:
Look and Layout Preferences (http:/forum/index.php?action=profile;sa=theme) -> Use quick reply on topic display
Some people have avatars that are "Not Work Safe"; what can I do about it?
You can switch off avatars in your profile:

Can I change the forum to a colour other than green?
Yes, in your profile you can change the theme:
Look and Layout Preferences (http:/forum/index.php?action=profile;sa=theme) -> Current Theme
Choose either the "MCNNinjas" theme in green or the "MCNNinjas Blue" theme in... blue!
PMs I send are not appearing in the outbox
You can enable this in your profile:
Personal Message Options (http:/forum/index.php?action=profile;sa=pmprefs) -> Save a copy of each Personal Message in my outbox by default

What are the coloured gems/marbles/blobs under my name?
These are a visual indication of user-level, and allow you to easily identify moderators and administrators.
How do I use smileys in Quick Reply?
You need to enter the BBCode (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBCode) for them directly. The regular reply function allows you to see a full list of smileys and you may click on them to insert them into your reply. If you decide part-way through replying that you need the full list, simply hit the Preview button to take you to the full reply page.

What happened to the next page / previous page buttons
Not present in this forum software, but we intend to add them when time permits.

What does "Cuddliness Rating" do? What are "Snuggly" and "Chilly"?
It doesn't do very much at all. Snuggly and Chilly are buttons that allow you to express your approval or disapproval of someone's posting or actions. You are only permitted to "Snuggly" or "Chilly " any given user once per hour. If you change your mind about Chilly/Snuggly someone, you can "take it back" by pressing the other button within the hour.
Can I find out who smited or applauded me?
No, this information is not recorded.

Where have warnings (yellow cards) gone?
They have simply gone.
Can I still embed an audio file so it plays when people view the post?
No.
How do I create a poll?
There are two ways to do this:
- Choose the "Create Poll" button instead of the "Create Topic" button. You will still be able to enter your message text as normal.
- Click the "Add Poll" button at the bottom of a thread you have already created.
Where is the downloads section?
All files from the original downloads section are now available on this wiki.
Where are the picture galleries/albums?
The data has been kept, however there's no gallery functionality in the new software. We're trying to find a suitable bit of software to the job, and once we implement it we'll make an announcement.
How do I find all posts from a particular member?
There are several ways to do this:
- Go to the main index, choose Member List near the bottom of the page and either browse for the person or use the 'Search for users' link. Click on the person's name and then 'Show Posts'
- Click on the person's name next to any of their posts, then 'Show Posts'
