Hi,

I have a B1H used it mostly for commuting and weekend fast rides, all year round but live in Milton Keynes so the tyres wear unevenly especially at the front right, now my head says sports tourer tyrer but are they as good on a sports bike? I have pilot powers on at the mo and I don't like em.

I have Pilot Road 2's on my mille R and have no problems with them.

Good mileage, loads of grip.

Had Pirelli Corsa III's before and they did not last as well.

I find it difficult not to opt for Road2's these days; had them on my 6r J2, preferred them to the Diablo Rossos and they lasted better at 9k miles. review here

Tried the maxxis supersport tyres after that and in the dry the grip was maybe a tiny bit better, but I think there's not much in it. In the wet, however, the maxxis were nowhere near as capable.

Been running the Qualifier 2 for about a month, tried but not managed to make them slip. Will appear in tyre diary soon.

Got storm ultra 2 on the r1. Can't justify anything else really . They have  done loads a touring. Trip in france, just done a track day at brands on then in inters. They performed well. Can't fault them in the wet or dry. All the tyre you will ever need for what you have stated.

out of interest, how do they look after that trackday?? how they've worn will give an idea of how good settings are

err hard to describe really, used all the way to the edge with what loks like normal melting of rubber as expected on the track. you are more than welcome to come and have a look mate.

I'm a recent convert to Michelin Pilot Road 2 (thanks Cos). I can't fault them so far. Will be using them for a quick bit of riding this weekend and the epic France Tour in September so will report back then with a full write up.

I'm riding a GSXR 750 K7 by the way.

Pilot Road 2's rock, bloody awesome tyres.

I've stuck a set of Storm ST Ultra's on my 12R, just over 1k miles ina nd I can't fault them at all. Mega grip and really good feedback too. Only reason I didn't fit Road 2's being Michelin don't make a rear Road 2 big enough for my bike.

Used these for a couple of 300 miles thrashes around the lakes and north yorkshire and they are awesome!! I also ride everyday to work (34 mile round trip) Loads of grip, never slid and wearing nicely. Just measured the centre of them and from new the rear has done 2500 miles but only used 1mm of the available 6mm tread!!! Edges are getting nicely chewed up too.

I really rate the Avon Storms. Brilliant in the wet and seem to grip fine in the dry too!
