Messages - Dom1

Saturday - Spent a day at the Rotor Adventures having some adventure bike training with Dakar racer Stan Watt.

Dropped my new bike twice, once on each side. No real damage.

Got told "You ride that thing good" by Stan. Plenty happy with that as an assessment and certainly the most glowing reference I have ever received for my riding.

Legs hurt for about two days due to my complete lack of fitness.

Quad Lock gets a lot of good comments amongst the trail riding community.

Make sure you have the vibration damper option if you use an iPhone.

Personally I have bought a Beeline for navigation and keep my phone in my pocket.

I reckon that will be a fantastic fun bike, the engine is a peach.

What would have made a worthy successor to the R7?

As I recall most people packed the original engine in a box and fitted an R1 engine anyway.

Apologies for the delay, found them on an old hard drive.

Rear ride height made a big difference.

Easy adjustment on the J model but I thing the A model required a spacer.

Sure I have it on an old hard drive.

Will have a look tonight.
Yesterday for me too. Taking to the trails with Chojin and m6rk.

Unintentional power slides are fun.

yeah that would make sense now I read it again.

I read it as "triple of garage toys".

I wasn't even counting in Sir Danoir himself.

ZX1000 SX.

Plenty of fun, but more capable for a long day out.

Adventure bikes are the future, apart from for Moz 👍🏻

This is true - they are boring as fuck

I'd call that pilot error.

Finally got a first ride at the weekend and on the road its a lovely ride, took in one local lane which was very muddy and wet and that will take a bit of getting used to.

Have to say I would have been wobbly on any bike in the same conditions but the extra weight of the bigger adventure style bike does not favour a timid approach.

Must ride it some more and bond with it, still feels like someone else's bike at the moment.
