Hi all

Does anyone know if you need a special type of thermometer to test water temperatures or will any one do?  Don't really want to fork out £80-£150 quid on kits etc if a £25 one will do!

I am not aware of any specific kit you are supposed to use, something fit for purpose should suffice.

Check out Rs components on line catalogue (or Maplin etc.)

For example: RS Stock No.201-8198

These are fit for purpose and the sort of thing we use to carry out regular temperature checks.

Check out Regulation L8 for full bamboozlement!!

Thanks Jim, much appreciated!

Thanks also for the link - I've seen that publication, and like all of them, the words are English but my brain won't but them all together and make any sense out of them!
