I've got a meeting in Fulham next Monday at 10:00am.

I'm considering driving down the evening before and staying in a cheap travel lodge, then using the tube to get to Fulham.

Can anyone recommend somewhere out of north London close to a tube station with a cheap travel lodge type thing?

You probably cant get to Fulham Broadway from North London without at least 1 or two changes.  By the time you've done that, allowed for the tube time in from North London (say Watford), time across stations, car parking, travel lodge costs etc it'll be quicker and easier to train directly into Central London and stay overnight in town with a single tube run first thing .. that would be my choice.  It will probably be the same cost and certainly faster and alot less stressful !

Yes I was looking at Watford, but you're probably right.

Well if you do find yourself in town and fancy a pint to kill some time drop me a line.

Other option is stop at the travelodge just up the road from the Ace cafe on the north circular, and then catch the Bakerloo tube from Stonebridge Park to Padington, and then get the District line down to Fulham....that would be my choice ;)

Having looked at the options, it does actually seem cheaper to get the train down on Sunday night, to Euston, travel across and stay at the travel lodge in Fulham..... nice easy trip to my meeting, then get the train home in the afternoon.

All out of peak time. The client (TGI Fridays) is picking up the tab, but I don't want to take the piss.

Or - you could get the train down, stay with me.

Either way if you come to Fulham for sunday night and i don't get a look in, you're in for a shoeing.

How far is the ghetto from Fulham?

Cab to wimbledon (5 mins) 5 stops on the tube. (10 mins)

Up to you , if it's easier to stay local there then do that, options there if you want it though.

I'll stay local, but if you're around Sunday night, it'd be nice to catch up? Anyone in and around Londinium welcome too?

Trying to remember the name of that American Diner place in Fulham, Joe Rockets or something, google just keeps coming up with leathers.
