Bike Talk / 2022
December 15, 2021, 08:21:25 AM
Any of the new released machines of interest to anyone?
The 1200 GT/Rally offers from Triumph raised my interest.
Ducatis Pikes Peak Multistrada is phenomenal...but at over £28k it's a little rich.

Bike Talk / 2021 Riding Season coming to an end
September 12, 2021, 07:15:28 PM
Hopefully still some days left...but the inevitable is coming.
I've had a great 8k miles on the Superduke R thus far and apart from a little off road excursion I have enjoyed my time on the Beast.
How has 2021 been for you?

Bike Talk / Three Kawasakis on my lust list
August 14, 2021, 05:00:39 PM
In no particular order.
1. ZH2
2. Ninja 1000 SX
3. Z900RS
In front by a nose is the Ninja 1000 SX for its dual ability...one eye on Euro Trip 2022...but I'd be happy with any one of the aforementioned.

Bike Talk / Second bike
April 14, 2021, 07:47:49 PM
Due to the fact I'm keeping my Superduke R forever I'm considering a second bike to ease the use on the Beast.
Initial thoughts are a BMW R9T.
Feel free to put forward suggestions.

Bike Talk / 2021 Keeper
October 30, 2020, 03:19:09 PM
The contenders are:
1.Kawasaki ZH2 Supercharger

2. KTM 1290 Superduke R 3.0

3. 2021 BMW S1000R (to be revealed)

Outside runner could be the updated Speed Triple 1200 (to be revealed).

As it stand the draw is strongest towards the KTM at the moment.

Feel free to offer the usual measured balanced opinions.
Thank you in advance.

Bike Talk / Kawasaki alive and well....
July 10, 2020, 06:05:20 PM
The Z H2 is one fantastic motorcycle...it may not be a beauty...but as we all know...beauty is only skin deep...so under the skin the Z H2 is simply phenomenal. Go ride one...don't take my word for it...but be prepared to ride a bike that does mind blowing pace whilst maintaining immense control.
Fantastic job.

Bike Talk / What's the future.
November 29, 2019, 08:24:05 AM
What does the future hold for motorcycles...they are getting very expensive...you can actually run a car cheaper than a modern litre bike...the younger generation are not taking up riding in any great numbers...and as we know the fossil fuel burning engine is under threat...so with all that where do we see bikes heading?

Bike Talk / Cap on Horsepower.
November 13, 2019, 09:32:21 PM
If...the powers that be decided a Horsepwer cap was to be applied to road going motorcycles irrespective of CC's or engine configuration what would we be accepting of...100bhp...150bhp...thoughts?

Bike Talk / Kawasaki Z H2
October 27, 2019, 07:43:54 AM
As a Kawasaki branded Forum are we in support of what Kawasaki has produced...are we to judge on looks alone...or should we applaud the level of performance this bike has been adorned with...or do we think the power is irrelevant and Kawasaki have failed.

Bike Talk / Bike Service
July 22, 2019, 03:22:15 PM
Being the organised type I booked my bike service a few months in advance...I request a price and £168 was given...happy with that.
Forward to service today...completed...sat me down at desk...that will be £272 please..."erm no it wont" says I...Service girl says "we did Brake fluid change"...so despite me instructing it not to be done as bike is only 10 months old they go ahead and do it and try and charge me £102 for the privilege.
Needless to say after some Poker Faces and staring I won and paid £168...but I left feeling cheapened by the whole experience...what the fuck is it with Dealers.

Tyres / Pilot Road 5s
July 08, 2019, 09:26:13 PM
Fitted today...spirited ride tonight and I am very very impressed...loads of grip...transition from one side to another is fluid. I bought specifically for Euro trip to cover miles with ease...I was slightly nervous getting these...but fears are gone.

Bike Talk / New Keeper
August 31, 2018, 07:16:50 PM
Tomorrow I'm off to pick up one of these bad boys...a BMW S1000R Sport in Motorsport colours...had the 2015 version and then delved into the Adventure sector...enjoyed it...but realised I missed the Roadster style which if being perfectly honest more suits my stature and how I want a bike to perform underneath me...looking forward to ownership.
