Bikes For Sale / 2019 S1000rr M Sport
November 26, 2023, 07:48:56 PM
Open to offers (sensible) but asking £18,500 in track form with spare set of magnesium wheels with discs. And all original body parts in mint condition.Spent in region of £10,000 on top of bike. Mapped showing 214 atw. Too many parts to list unless anyone interested.

Had one low speed low side At Snet and a topple of in the gravel at Brno so no major damage.

Or £15,500 in road trim with full system left on only. Other parts left on negotiable.

Bike Talk / S1000rr Dyno results
November 14, 2019, 06:40:44 PM
Had the full system fitted and mapped on the gen 4 at Dave Woods Racing.
Not too shabby, going back in February fresh from track day to fettle some more.
Engine was tight having only done 350 miles, where he said it should be over 200bhp when I go back.

Bike Talk / New Bike Day
October 16, 2019, 08:03:38 PM
Well not exactly as I got it two weeks ago and this is the only picture I have when I picked it up. Just not getting out coz of the weather.
Done 200 miles and chomping at the bit to get the running in done.
So far Iv'e got Titanium rad & Oil guards and track farings from Fima Racing, if you've not used them before they're worth a look. The quality and feel look good and a really good price for all the parts included. I can't comment on the fit yet as I'm not starting to until it's had the first service.

I've also contacted DWR as recommended on here, had a good chat and worked out a deal to supply, install a full system and map it.

The seating feels very similar to the Suzuki GSXR 1000 L7 but much sharper and lighter. As for power it's restricted atm, not that you'd know it on the road.

I still have the Suzuki which I'm looking to sell. There was no point trading it against the BMW, it was financial suicide. The Gixer has not fared well in the market and even selling I'll take a hit.

Bike Talk / Achtung BWM here we come
March 17, 2019, 03:29:36 PM
I was planning to wait but after having tentative talks with the dealer yesterday I took the plunge.

No bikes in the country till end of June and I'm in no rush, September would suite me anyway.

Went for the M Sport version. Only extras I added were crash protection, rad guard and data logger, as I believe that gives you GPS for the lap times on dash but even dealer couldn't confirm that or how much it was.

Bikes For Sale / Triumph 675
November 14, 2014, 04:56:17 PM
Right the time has come to let it go.
Will give it a couple of weeks to sell as a job lot if not I'll split.

2007 ex T3 cup bike. was originally  Josh Caygill's so no V5

I've had this for nearly 3 years now and has never let me down untill Spain this year where a pick up sensor failed.
You can't buy that part without the coil that's what I had to do so along with forks serviced has just cost me £540 and good to go.

Other work carried out, it has been de catted and the exup valve removed. Along with a BMC air filter and latest arrow map thats it, no engine mods. Dealer did a re call and had new rectifier fitted.

Had the 12k service done at start of the year for piece of mind, though its probably not done 12k yet, and all was good, so had new plugs and I re packed the exhaust.

I change the oil and filter every 2 to 3 track days without fail. Doesn't burn oil, I take 3ltrs out and 3 go in .

What about the bike ? well you get all you see in the pics plus whats on the bike
HM QS
HM race dash with GPS, serviced free of charge in the summer.
Yoyodine slipper clutch
SES rear sets
SES clip ons
SES lock stop
GPR damper
GB engine and crash protection
BMC air filter
New rear slick dunlop gp racer
20mm K-tech Fork internals
WP 4618 Rear Shock (serviced last year)
Scorpion end can
1050 throttle tube
New brake pads, EBC GPFAX Regarded by HPS on par with Brembo Z104's

Spares
Paddock stands
Full set of fairings
fuel tank inc spare pump
Seat
WOW with discs, though fitted tyres are past their best
Brand new set of wets
New rear GP 211 racer
Good rear GP 211 scrub
Original dash
Sprocket carrier and new cush drive rubber
Few spare sprockets
Rectifier
R&G spindle bobbins
Radiator plus fan
Two sets of brake and clutch levers
one bar end and clamp on
Foot pegs
Air in take
Rear brake reservoir
New set of stomp grips
New spare set of GPFAX brake pads
Quick release fuel cap
Standard clutch basket
Standard Exhaust
Spare screens
Think that's about it but anything else I find comes with.

Only minor downsides, both sets of fairings are tatty. No major damage just cracks from transporting around. I've painted both sets before and have never been down the track on it. She handles superbly. Also I can't stop fuel seeping out of the filler cap I've tried a few different caps on both tanks with no joy, so I never fill to the brim.

Looking for £4600
Ninja price £4400 Wizzbang has first dibs.
This will be going on other sites and ebay next week.

Bike Talk / Couldn't help myself
November 06, 2014, 07:27:35 PM
I know it's not the normal practice on here but I'm soon to be a Ninja owner again.
Pick my new track tool up next week and have winter to get ready.

I said I wouldn't ever do the Ltr or IL4 thing again but my 675 refused to start on the third day in Spain so used a few mates bikes.
First an old R6, then a Blade which was a lot better but then lastly rode a 2009 ZX10r and it felt like I was back on the 675 in the twisty stuff. I was extremely surprised how easy it was to throw about. So as soon as I got home I looked out for one but then got thinking about the 2011 model so thats what I went for.

Bring on Spring  :moto:

Bike Talk / Which 2 Stroke ?
February 01, 2014, 02:14:34 PM
Got looking on the modern classics thread and it's got me thinking.
I'm in the process of getting rid of the ZZR1400 and really want a 2 stroker

Need some advice on what to go for.

Shortlist
RGV 250
NSR 250 R
KR1-S
NS 400R Favoured one  :)

Was looking at a TZR 250 3MA Reverse cylinder
Done some searching, they seem to be very unreliable and top end parts are extremely hard to come by, so gone off this one.

I guess really which is more likely to be reliable and have parts more available. Not really interested in the future resale value.
