get an E or F model ZX9R. Probably the best all round road bike you can buy for under 2.5k

tour well , commute well and you can rag the arse off them and they'll lap it up.

i've had 8 ZX9R's

if the float bowl screws are tight warm them a bit with a heat gun and give a light tap to loosen them

its pot luck really. i've undone a few with no issues but i've also had a few that have been absolute barstewards.

go with what you have to hand then if its a sid, pop to a local garage and offer a drink to windy gun it off. then refit but not über tight to remove when you get home. or if you have a van ?

On the inside edge if that prominent lip is slightly softer it should go towards the pad.
