I'm after any recommendations of either really.

Anyone wear either regularly? Shorty boots appeal due to the ankle protection but the fact they don't take forever to put on.

Really?..............I wear Supertech R's and they take way less than a minute to put on and fit under most cuts of jean. Sidi's might be different?

Not great apparently. Will tell you in about a week or so.

Apparently the MT10is superb for wind protection!

I don't mind ugly bikes but there are limits...........

What's the wind protection like on the S1000R? (now I'm starting to let the Tuono rev a bit, I'm getting hammered by the wind at  - hmmmm - interesting speeds....)

Bloody hell. I'd never have guessed. No offence.

After all the things you have said to me over the years, you think I'd take offence at that?..............

Or you could buy the best "naked" and get a Factory Tuono................ ;)

Cannot afford.

Plus the older RSV4 1000 version is as reliable as crumbly cheese so won't be buying a used one.

LOL................I earn leass than a SAC let alone a Flt Lt QFI.............

Do you fuck!!!!

Plus you are big time DINKY ;-)

Believe it or not but I do.............

I don't believe it. Your 1100 looks ace by the way.

You really have no idea how much Civil Servants are paid do you? We are cheap to employ compared with service shineys..........as for DINKY's, a first year Flt Lt with flying pay earns quite a bit more than both of us put together. Word.

and yeah, the 1100 looks good. :)

I've had it a few weeks and so far it's a love / hate relationship so far. Some days I think it's the best bike I've ever ridden while on other days I think it's been a waste of £15k......it might be just a bit too focused for a road going naked as it's basically a big bore RSV4 with upright bars. It would work really well on track but that's missing the point of the bike really.

Wish I'd tested both it and a S1000R first............it looks good though.

Mechanical / Re: Filling / bleeding rad
May 08, 2016, 10:13:49 AM
I put a large funnel in the in the rad inlet so you are increasing the capacity of the "open" radiator and run the bike until it starts to overfill the funnel, stop the engine, let it cool and start again...........

Also as Alzo said, look for bleed holes.

Are you selling the new set of tyres on their own? If so is the back a 200 and how much?
