Cut slicks.....are they legal on the road? How safe are they on roads in damp or wet conditions? Im presuming not too good in damp/wet?

Gobert

Slicks are marked "not for highway use" - cutting a tread pattern into them won't change that............

Plus you'll struggle to get them anywhere near operating temperature so they'll feel like wood

Alot of the lads I ride on the road with use Goldspeed pre cut slicks. Admittedly these are on supermotos. They seem to be road legal

is there a reason you think  you need these? plenty of completely legal tyres out there?

Just curious as the bike ive brought has them fitted. I planned to keep them for track days before i pluck the guts up to use slicks but wanted you sexy peoples opinions

Can't think of a single reason to run cut slicks on anything.  Modern road tyres are more than a match for anyone.
