I don't know if i've been looking at it for too long, like one of those 3d pictures from the 80s where after a few minutes of staring at it, you realise what the picture is....

but...I think i like it  :violent1:

This video is worth a watch if you're bored. Someone at Kawasaki explains why it looks like it does and why etc

I kind of hope the images are fake. The real ones get released tomorrow (23rd) so we shall see.

Ive been waiting to see the new ZX10r all year but am massively disappointed. The Race bike with carbon looks ok...but the standard ZX10r looks terrible. Id even go as far as saying that its the worst looking ZX10 i think they've ever made. 2004 and 2016 are in my opinion the best looking ZX10s

Bike Talk / Are modern bikes just too good?
November 15, 2020, 06:29:06 PM
Do you think sites such as this are struggling to exist as modern bikes come out of the factory a bit too good and dont allow for mods like the old bikes did?

I remember trawling sites looking for cheap mods for pretty much all of the Kawasaki ive owned....removing butterflies, cheap quick action throttle, R1 calipers on a ZX10 04 etc etc etc

How to guides as well. It seems most modern bikes just need a remap and they are sorted

Mark, will you be racing in 2021 or just enjoying retirement?

Dave wouldnt map it if there was a high risk of anything happening as one bad job and he will lose loads of work. With mapping, theres always a risk but if done properly on a rolling road, AFR sensors etc by someone who knows what they are doing then id go for it. Dave does loads of R&D on new bikes and loads of work for race teams so id trust him with any of my bikes.

Bike Talk / Re: How often for an engine refresh?

The bike i was referring to in this post has just been edited by the seller..... it now is spares or repair as the head gasket may have gone! That would explane why he didn't reply to any messages or texts.

Lord D, did you get any track footage?

I kind of regret selling my ZX6RR K1 track bike a few years ago!!

Cheers Lord D.

The reason i ask, is i have seen a couple of 04/05 ZX10s that have both had engine work done. On paper they look like the ideal track day tools. One claims 200bhp. I dont know if someone of my lack of ability needs such a weapon for track.....or should i stick to something more standard.

I do love the gen 1 though!!!!

For someone who has been a director of many firms since the age of 26........he seems to have made a fair few mistakes...... before reading this i was sold on the idea that Garner was a huge crook......but this has sort of changed my view ( i know he is a crook but who else is involved ). It looks like an arse covering interview.  Hopefully the next part will give some more clarity

Bike Talk / How often for an engine refresh?
March 04, 2020, 05:04:12 PM
If you had a 1000cc jap sportsbike that has had engine work done (cam and valves re worked, ported and polished) and i believe an ECU remap giving more revs. It would be almost entirely for track days

How often should or would you refresh the engine? Ive never had a bike with internal mods so have no idea on timings nor costs.

Bearing in mind i am inters or slow advanced.....
