Just have to decide what colours.

A very good question, for me it's more about how much fun the bike is to ride, hence going from a 1000cc sportsbike to a 675 Street Triple 7 years ago. Sufficient power to give good on road performance while having the abiltiy to wring it's neck without stupidly breaking the speed limit. Still a Street Triple now (765RS) and it does everything I need. Very rarely think I need more power.

You can have fun on a 60hp bike or a 160hp bike, a lot depends on the roads you are riding.

So what are you going to by then Grumpy  ;)

i was planning on taking it further, and may still, but after i calmed down a bit, thought to myself, am i likely to be riding it at the moment? probably not. so is it worth creating a lot of drama just out of principle?

Whether you are going to ride it or not create the drama just to make a Point - I would

Yesterday morning took it for it's first MOT. before that 2 Charity track days at RAF Shawbury, before that 8 days round Scotishland 1832 miles which started with the Borders run.

my bike is due to be collected for gearbox rebuild/replacement as it has chewed itself to bits!
common problem apparently!

isn't this a Speed RS not a Street RS issue?

Not with the exhaust down there it isn't. You should know that!!!

It might be down there next year though.

Oh I do it would appear Komp didn't ;)

Quote from: Dom1 on September 11, 2020, 07:35:40 AMWith all the Rally kit, yes.

I watch racestoplaces on YouTube and Basil bike is based on a KtM690.

That said the cost of changing a 690 and the maintenance intervals puts me off.

I reckon the T7 is the closest to a Dakar rally bike straight out of the box without being as highly strung.

you've just answered your question haven't you LOL get the T7

Quote from: Andy M on September 03, 2020, 09:42:36 PMNo went with the R, 19 model so it has the lcd dash. Figured the only real difference I might notice is the ohlins shock and I preferred the red accents... reminds me of my old 675R daytona

Also slightly more torque in the mid range slightly less top end power, not much in them to be honest.
