We had an article in our local paper yesterday about a dozen teenage persistent car and bike thieves, one of which stole £0.5m of cars in one night, from the same guy and another that stole a Lambo amongst others, have totalled £136k in legal aid fee's!

Just shoot the little fuckers or the "cheeky little chappy" as they are referred to when one meets a sticky end on a stolen motorcycle.

"Despite curfew restrictions and detention periods these individuals persist" - well no shit Sherlock.

I think its about time us bikers took the fight to the thieves!

I'm polishing my breaker bar as we speak!

there does seem to be very little effort made to firstly investigate and then properly punish these crimes
the police no doubt will quote fact their budgets have been reduced
but how is it they always seem to have enough resources to have someone sat in a van by side of the road on the off chance to catch a speeder, but never adequate resources to investigate actual crime?

Execution for repeat offenders.  If they can't be rehabilitated, then they're no use to society, are they?

I guess to the Police are between a rock and hard place sometimes.  They have a limited budget like everyone else, but are expected to cover everything.  They have to (be seen to) be applying their resources to public safety and dangerous crime.  I don't agree with it, but a personal possession being stolen is down on their list of priorities, because the public cry out when even one person gets killed on the road.

I guess if they get my bike when I'm out or asleep they it's theirs.  If they wake me up though...

Just seen as a victimless crime basically.  It's only a car/bike and the insurance pay for a new one....

So, we pay taxes for the police to (eventually) catch the thieving scumbags, then when caught bang to rights we pay taxes (abuse of the system) to get them out and let them generally do it all again.

I'm sure somewhere between the two processes somewhere in government a way of passing the bill onto these scumbags for life or until they turn away from the dark side and be a normal citizen could be implemented.

I mean ffs they have shafted students for wanting to do better with huge debt until they can pay it back.

The system always punishes those that try rather than those that abuse.
