So since my little snafu, I've been a busy little bee. I decided to repair the fairing aside from the tail unit which was too far gone, and had cut outs for the lights, which I binned as it's a track bike.

Suspension got another look over by Sunni at SW and I've just cleaned everything down, fitted a few bits like a Jetprime key delete switch and a rear brake carrier widget that stops it falling out when you're changing rears.

Had to buy a new Acky system...... I decided to dismantle the old one and try and knock out the dents..... I managed the dismantling and knocking out element, but failed miserably in the putting back together...... so I cried a bit and Anna bought me a new one.

She also bought me a new tank, but when I found out how much it cost, I decided to keep it for when I sell the bike and just fit a cover to the dented one.

Then it's just been service items, oil/filter, coolant, brake pads, and I'll renew the brake fluid with Brembo HTC.... then giving it the once over with a few rattle cans and throwing some graphics at it.

I'm quite pleased with the end result, but it's taken far more time than I'd planned......

yyyeeeeaaahhhh...... I get what you're saying, but I think I'll go with the tried and tested, cry a bit and hold my breath until I go really red.

Quote from: mc101 on March 09, 2023, 02:17:54 PMThat throttle transition is aweful on stock 10R and RR - can be fixed tho

Yeah, I'm just hoping I can slide the expense by the gaffer before Spain

As usual, I'm talking shit, sorry.

They seem very popular here anyway. If they do custom maps then all good.

I'm taking my 10r to Sam West, the transition from off throttle to on throttle mid corner is aggressive, so he said he can sort that. It's more than just mapping for power.

They're local to me. They have a rolling road for cars, which they use to develop maps, then put the maps on to any car. They don't have a bike dyno, so I don't know where they get their bike maps from.

I wouldn't map my bike unless it was done on a dyno..... that said, I've used generic powecommander maps, but they have a national reputation.

SAM West of MotoHub in Stoke is my go to guy now, he has a great setup.

Oh, and all the local chavs have BHP UK stickers on their windscreens...... make of that what you will

I saw that on one of the FB group pages. It looks really clean.

I'd have been all over that had I not just bought one!!

I'll gladly contribute. It would be a crying shame to see the place die as I've met and am still mates with so many people from here, but if people aren't posting any more, then perhaps it's for the best.

There are some extremely iffy car dealers in that area too. No idea if there's a connection, but generally is I see Bradford or Keighley in the ad' I look elsewhere.

Glad you walked away.... Fuck em
