Title: Gsxr 750 2013 Rear Shock
Post by: tom2785 on December 29, 2013, 05:34:00 PM
Hi guys,

Looking at upgrading my rear shock on my gsxr 750 k4.

Seen a decent looking 2013 gsxr 750 rear shock on eBay. Does anyone know if it would fit, or has done something like this before?

Cheers,

Tom

Having owned a few GSXRs including a K4, I know that the shock on the later models is quite different. The K6, K7, K8 and K9 were all interchangable but would definitely not fit the K4. As there's 9 years difference between your bike and the unit you are looking to put in it, I'd say that it wouldn't fit.

Also try www.gixerjunkies.com - it maybe a more relevant forum for this question...

Hope that helps.

Thanks Sax,

Asked a couple of dealers and they said the same thing, different design and it wouldn't just drop in. Decided to have it refurb and a K-tech shock put it like I did with my front forks.

Just need to get the bloody thing off now..... Bottom nut is a B*****

Cheers,

Tom
