How do you find it Iain?
The plug n play one I had on my Street R I found very jerky. Is it still non-adjustable?

I only fitted it last night, not been out on it yet, as I've never used one before I doubt I'll be able to answer that LOL. I'll let you know how I get on. Yes it's plug and play, not sure about adjustment I'll plug Tune ecu in when I get a chance and have a look :azn:
If I don't get on with it I'll stick it back on ebay as the price I got it for I'll probably get more than I paid judging by the price the others I have watched went for.
the Daytona one is very good, perhaps not HM strain gauge type good but very good.
Went out for a play yesterday, takes a bit of getting used to not rolling the throttle off on upchages but once I got it it's great :-).
Can be a snatchy at low speed then again why would you use it round town which is what I was trying initially, but when pressing on, say over 7K, it's bloody ACE and smoother than using normal clutchless upchanges which is what I would normally have done.
Aclerating away form lights with a clear run is especially fun :-) I'm sold on it now :-) can't wait to try it on track.

HM are better as they work lower down. Sometimes smooth short shifting out of slower turns is a bonus with a QS but they are generally redundant lower down.
I'd always have one if it would fit the bike. Luckily, the Adventure can't have one.

Never had one before but I can see why folk like em even on the road where to be fair they are not really needed. The Triumph one is a Translogic unit. Later in the afternoon yesterday I did get used to using it at lower speeds and if you aren't hard on the throttle when short shifting it is a smooth change.
Glad you like it...didn't want to dampen your excitement....for me it was horrible...I'm so Old School...I felt I could do clutchless changes almost as quick...plus without realising it I obviously apply some pressure to the gear lever with my boot which had me changing up when I didn't want to...one mans meat and all that... ;)

I think I started out like that but after 40 miles or so it came together :-) the best bit is if you do use the clutch it is just normal as the QS doesn't trigger (I assume all good ones are like this) so it can be ignored, like you I do sometimes apply a bit of pressure to the lever in anticipation of the next shift so it will just be a case of not doing so. I imagine next time out I may do it right at the start but by the time I was home yesterday it was working great for me.
Mine's was on the Daytona...so it's feasible that the riding position/ foot position didn't help...maybe the upright position would lessen the unconcious pressure applied to the gear lever.

million times better and retaining the OE indicators is also the better option IMO...
Keeps it factory looking instead of having those horrid Motrax LED things..

that's the one I fitted to my FZ8.. not the cheapest but the best quality and fitting one around..
be prepared to get a dirty back now as the old plate on mine blocked a lot of the spray that came back over onto me from the rear wheel but small price to pay for me.
