A cracking song by The Manic St Preachers but more accurately what I feel concerning my bike and biking in general. I used my bike socially once last year and probably 5 times to commute to work.(140 mile round trip). Although I don't think selling it is an option but I need to find my biking mojo again. I fear I may be heading the way of a bobber type bike I can pootle around on. Help.
Get whatever bike YOU want...if it's a Blobber then so be it...we all experience a bit of mojo loss...but it generally comes back home to roost...or just give yourself a kick up the arse.

I was out on mine on Sunday for 3 hours or so, that's how I keep up the mojo :-)
Try something different.
Blag a test ride, hire a trail bike.
Change is as good as a rest.
took mine out sat for the first time properly in ages, been waiting for the rain to stop, was great for a feb ride
and as the sun was shining brought it with me today too :cool:
sometimes i forget how much fun it is, until i am back on the bike, then it all comes flooding back
I miss my bike, and come Spring I am going to be unbearable, keep the bike, enjoy the moments no matter how brief they may be.

I've felt the same for a while but can't sell the bike because I know I'll never be able to afford another one. Keep it - you'll feel worse without one!
I sold my old Gixxer as I needed the money to pay for my stepson's expensive school trip and whilst I don't regret doing it for that reason, I should really have found a way to keep it. The 2 year gap between owning bikes killed me.

Sold the Daytona to clear debt, which has gone well. I've now decided I'm going to broaden my horizons and go travelling for 6-24 months which is requiring more hard saving. I know it's all going to be worth it but god I miss having a bike! Little did I know I was going to sell the bike before the best summer I have ever seen!
Miss my bikes, miss looking at and tinkering with them. Miss my mates, trackdays, holidays etc. I think time away from bikes has really made me realise how much I miss the lifestyle.

I ride everyday and in all weather so for me I don't have a choice, I've not really had any 'mojo' for biking for nearly 2 years now so while I miss my old workshop and the builds that I used to work on, I've kinda resigned myself knowing that with 3 kids and having to save for mortgage, wedding etc that I'll not be doing any of it for a while.
Which doesn't help when the only people I know in Bristol take great pleasure in reminding me of this fact.
Been some major bike emptiness, sun was out yesterday for the first time in whats seems like many months, so too good not get out.
Only a little jaunt into glasgow and around, but it was really good to be back out on two wheels!! :moto:
Albeit some fud tried to wipe me out on the M80, stupid woman crossed the hatched area at the end of the slip, right across my path, even though i had been level with her left drivers window for the previous 300-400 yards!!! :undecided:
She got a talking to though, after my hubby threw some gestures at her. Not only did she appear to be oblivious to my existence, or the requirement to get in your lane prior to the end of the slip ..... she also failed to notice the cop car that was behind us :rofl:
took her ages to notice the flashing headlights behind her, coupled with blue lights going! we stopped at the side but copper waved us on, she was getting big portions of the pointy finger from mr bobby! :police: kudos to the guy, makes a nice change that they are there when you want them to be and gave her a talking to.
