I'm just getting the bike back running after being SORNd for a couple of years and have got this slight issue,
When filling the tank from a can, some fuel comes out of the breather pipe.
Is this normal? If not, what could be the cause? will it do it when being filled from a pump?

Petrol pumps have a vacuum pump to neutralise the pressure the tank as it fills. Petrol cans don't.

I thought it might have something to do with the can, but didn't want to get to the pump and waste half of it on the floor.

you sure you didnt just spill some into the water drain ?
No, I checked that, but could see it in the pipe.
