im after a genuine carbon fibre numberplate anyone have any idea where I can get one of these or anyone that could make me one?
All number plates have to be a specific size shape and colour, so even if you had a carbon fibre one, it would all have to be yellow with black letters and numbers.
Its solid carbon fibre with yellow vinyl over the top with the letters cut out showing the carbon through the cut out I've seen them before need one in a 7 x 5
I would have thought it better to get a sheet of carbon cut to size, mask the numbers paint the rest in yellow, and then remove the masking and lacquer it up. I'd be reluctant to stick vinyl to raw carbon. It is too coarse to get a decent finish.
and this is why im asking not very good at things like this and I thought it a nice finnish to a carbon bike
You can cut carbon fibre with a hacksaw Would all need laquering though as you get rough edges. Get your plate cut to size, buy the vinyl numbers from a motor factors, mark out the board, lay them up correctly, drill your mounting holes (nice sharp HSS drill against a block of wood breaking through very carefully - use a pillar drill) and then give it to a local painter with instructions to paint in the colour choice, remove the vinyl letters and then laquer it well.

Might be worth emailing them to see if they do bike sizes?
I wonder what Moz's response will be
