After a lot of deliberation, I've decided to name and shame you, Ahmed Ul Haq - AKA vsenna (http://www.mcnninjas.com/smf/index.php?action=profile;u=813) , I've given you plenty of time to resolve this, but you don't appear to be fussed either way, and are choosing to ignore any attempts by me to sort this out.
You ripped me off to the tune of £70 for a set of brake discs off your ZX636R (http://www.mcnninjas.com/smf/index.php?topic=1030.0) which you knew full well were were junk, which you then lied about in the advert you placed here. They are worn so far down by the high mileage your bike has done, that they now are an instant MOT failure due to them being below the minimum indicated thickness ....you are a shameless individual - a cheat and a liar.
I am keeping this a sticky on a public board to warn others in the biking community off dealing with you (either here or on any other bike forums you belong to)
I'm not expecting you to refund the money which you took off me knowing well I couldn't use the discs legally, , and to be honest, anything you make claim to do is from my experience just lies.
Anyway Ahmed claims to hail from Bradford, now living in the east end of London, so no doubt may try and push on more dodgy bits from either place to unsuspecting people.

This dog bike also has at least 37k miles on it now so you do decide to sell it in another 10k, I suggest you don't try and move it on here. All the bits you have removed from it so far are knackered...the rest of the bits still left on the bike are sure to be not far behind in condition.....

I've been looking for a set of discs over the last few weeks to match with some R6 calipers I bought to stick on my B1, and going on the claim in his advert of them being
QuoteAll in good condition off my own bike, not some scrap yard crap!
I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago and asked if he wanted to sell them on their own. He said £70 posted, and I paypal'd him the money straight away. He was a bit slow to post them out, and they turned up just over a week later (last friday). the first thing I noticed was that they have a deep lip on the edge of them which indicated to me that they had done some miles. In addition to this, the pads would be sitting on the lip, and that would cause all sorts of problems.
I've had bikes fail MOT's because the discs are worn below the stamped min thickness on them so I checked them out

Now I've messaged him twice (on Friday and Monday) in the hope it is a misunderstanding, and have given the opportunity to resolve this in private, but to no avail. I then checked his other posts and they tell me that it is not the only bits on his bike he has replaced because it has done 36k, and they have come to the end of their life.

I'm still hoping he will do the right thing as I'm £70 down on this, but as it stands I just see him as being a dishonest person who has lied about the condition of the stuff he has advertised, and has no intention of putting this situation right.
I'm hoping I am wrong and am more than happy to be proved so, so if you do read this Ahmed, please get in contact.
Cant paypal reverse the payment? Or is that only if its done via ebay?
I doubt it to be the case. I have always felt this community to be one filled with honest and decent people, and whilst mistakes can be made when selling stuff, that if something was inadvertently incorrectly described, the vendor would look to make amendments at the earliest opportunity or at the very least make the buyer aware that they will do so when in a position to do so.
I'm still resisting the urge to post up his full details, email addy etc for this and other forums in the biking community or anywhere else he uses his handle .. and all the search engines to see as I still feel it important he has a fair chance to put this right.
I damned well know that my reputation as an honest and trustworthy person is worth a lot more than the value of some second hand brake discs.

I'm a cynic and believe that the people who register for the forum are really just anybodies off the street, and are no more trustworthy. The people you meet on here and have known for a long time you know to be honest and decent, but this person only seems to have 15 posts so I think it'd be too early to assume they are trustworthy.
I hope he does respond and it is just a misunderstanding though!

Are those his stats for a different forum to this one? Then they don't really count here, do they?

im just showing that he was an active user of bike forums and "was" considered trustworthy
he was last online on there 01 may ive sent him a pm
I got the impression that he has been a memeber here in the past..perhaps I'm wrong
He logged in here last night after I sent him another PM to inform him that we are discussing this on the public boards as he hasn't responded to my previous PM's
I yet again invite Ahmed to get in touch and clear up what may still well be down to a misunderstanding or embarassment, and to figure something which we can both be happy with.

We all get email verification of emails. that is how I got hold of him to ask about the discs a couple of weeks ago. he hadn't logged on for a couple of months before that. If he wants to contact me to sort this, I'll pull the thread, if he chooses not to, I will name and shame....
ahh I see, too right aswell
lynch mob anyone?

I'd like to think that my reputation is worth a bit more than £70 .... he obviously puts little value on his own at all.
Feel free to share this thread anyway. Other bikers deserve to know what a crook he is !
