Title: ZX10 wheel bearing help
Post by: Maddog on June 04, 2014, 04:49:47 PM
Folks, Im putting the front wheel from a ZX10 2004 onto a ZX10 2007

The 04 wheel takes a 20mm axle and 07 takes 25mm axle

The 04 bearing is 6004...ID-20 OD-42 D-12

The 07 bearing is 6005...ID-25 OD-47 D-12

I need the bearing from an 04 ZX10 but with an ID 0f 25mm.... ID-25 OD-42 D-12.....any ideas where i can get one? Someone mentioned this size is used on a KX250 but i cant find anything to support that

Ive emailed a few bearing suppliers but they seem to only stock standard size bearings!

Cheers

at 42 OD with an ID of 25 you only have 17mm which is 8.5mm a side, no way in the world will you get a bearing that size that would be suitable for the from wheel of a super bike.
You'd be better going down the route of using the 20mm dia axle and getting sleeves made to fit the fork bottoms.
