My b1 has at stock pegs etc and although I don't really have any issue with them, I want some spare pegs/hangers etc to stick in the box for trackdays. I have never bought after market rearsets and only really know gilles as a brand name.
Can anyone suggest any alternatives... Preferably cheaper than gilles... Or are they worth spending the money on gilles for strength to avoid breaking when/if dropped??
Any thoughts?
When I was running the C6F Track bike I just bought standard pegs off ebay and used a set of Jackup plates, worked out much cheaper than aftermarket rearsets. Gilles always seem to get slated for poor quality fixings to the extent that I would never buy any.
I run gillies on the b1h and I swear by them, the quality if spot on as are the fixings keep an eye on ebay your get a bargain if you wait long enough ,I will say one thing the heel plates only look like carbon for 5 mins they scratch to bits

I haven't crashed with them and yes they are expensive to replace...

Are Gilles are made of Dairylea.
Dairy lea is a much harder substance

you should have got the gillies never had a problem and they do look good....

The bracket on the LHS could do with the main holes being drilled .25 or .5mm further forward, it fits ok but is hard against the frame. The RHS had two bolts to holt the master cylinder and heel plate, but they were too short and didn't come with nuts to clamp the lot to the hanger. Minor issues... and as it's a track bike I don't care too much about how they look... More bothered with how well they function... As long as they aren't pink and sparkly

I use GBMoto rearsets on my CBR trackbike. They function without fault, fit well, and spares are just an email away and inexpensive.
The shock looks like a WP4618 (got one of those on my bike too)
