Might have just won a bike on eBay - have spoken to seller on phone and he and bike sound nice and genuine.
Let's just hope it's as advertised!!!!!!!
Roll the dice!!!
Zx10?
make with the fucking details!!!!!!!!!!!
Nope.
Think I'd better actually get it bought and collected before getting excited.
hope it turns out to be what ya want , is it green though?
No. It's black.

I was swayed by this pic of a bike owned by a local rider. I like the idea of the product placement. It is my endorsement of the product, and not that of a brand who is paying to have their logo on a race team bike. You can take that can of Monster Energy and park it. The only way I'd use that design on my bike is if it were made to look like a Marmite related product ;)

The eBay lottery bike does have some decals on it that will be removed immediately.

It should be a belter if it all checks out mate, I'm very jealous!

Yeah. I've yet to own the exact same road bike twice. Have had 2 EXC 450s but that's it.

keep an ear out for a noisy CCT (although i think ths only really effected the 2009 models, grabby clutch.... thats a feature and by design... throttle response.. a flash tune transforms the ycc-t)..
personally the r1 peaked with the 4c8 :afro:
(sausage may work better on track )
Bitten.
The UK forum seems to support a re-flash. I'll see how it goes.
The bike I am buying is a 2010 registered on an 11 plate so hopefully it'll be trouble free. I won't keep it long anyway!!!
It's totally bog standard so the fat arse will be the first bit sorted!!
Set of Akros is a stupid price but Al's Quills sound nice.
Thinking Leo Vince but we'll see. If I can find a used set I'd rather have Akky carbons.

Very loud though...Akkys is the way forward....look and sound just right.
Short train ride and she's a minter.
Wrists did not thanks me for my first sports bike rideout in a couple of years but have to say, sausage is an epic road bike.
Just need to source a couple of cans and a tail tidy and that's the extent of my fucking around for now.
Stick some pictures up...I found the Big Bang engine quite strange...quick but uninvolving...good space on the bike though.
Pics soon. I am away.
I love the Big Bang engine. Open the taps in A mode and she sings.

I didnt mean to sound negative....and my blast was short...I just compared it to my 2007 R1 and that was a missile...perhaps more time would alter my initial thoughts...anyway enjoy....what colour is it...Black?

Just won a pair of carbon Akkys off the bay.
Tail tidy to sort, a few wanky stickers to remove and then that's the spending over.
Still desperately needs a tail tidy but here she is (most of the wanky stickers removed, still more to go inc the stupid rim tape....)...

I think the wheels will get powder coated black too....
Looks immense. Leave the wheels...they look great on that bike.
looking good that moz , how few pennys did it actually set you back?
Trade money...
That looks bloody lovely, I'd be tempted to take all the stickers off, including the akky stickers, paint the silver bits and you've got yourself a very mean looking bike.... but my taste has known to be 'off'....

look..... here's how shit like this goes down:
Moz rocks up with a random hand full of cash.... woofs at the bloke, loads the bike up, impregnates his wife and fucks off.
The bloke, after standing there for an hour or two, eventually comes around, realises he was in the presence of greatness and has the £25 Moz handed to him framed.
The resulting child goes on to become president of the world.
Moz..... as every super-gentleman would..... keeps quiet.
Correct Dan....
That's one helluva lot of bike for £25...well done.
Nice bike..
Always liked these...
Gold wheels FTW, minus the horrendous rim tape of course..
rear pegs off too perhaps and the subtle application of some black paint in some small areas and job job'd..
Rear pegs need a backing plate and rear resevoir hanger that one of the R1 forum guys make so I'll order them, rim tape will go and I really fancy black wheels but need a photoshop to see what it might look like.
I'll go for a Melotti tail tidy I think.
Ridden it 300 miles to work already this week. I LOVE the engine - its fucking awesome!!!! I don't like the handling, needs setting up to me when I have the time.
A mutual friend rode Big Als two weeks ago...and he wasn't complimentary on the handling...said the front was vaque at best...did like the turn of speed...and adores the looks of the R1...and liked the size and ergonomics.
I'm going to attend an Anglesey trackday and use the suspension man there to see what he says. He supports our airfield trackdays too.
Very interested to see what the new R1 will be like next year. If it's ZX10R sharp with the crossplane motor in it, it will be a very desirable bike.
How are you coping with the riding position....?

Not too badly. No thumb pain, wrists getting used to it. It's pretty comfy.
