Title: Hairy R's Quick Action Throttle
Post by: Chrisninja on October 10, 2014, 02:17:54 PM
Hi guys, I am after a quick action throttle for my track bike and came across this:-
http://www.bikersdiscountstore.co.uk/hairy-rs-q-a-throttle/hairy-rs/hairy-rs-1-5th-turn-quick-action-throttle-pd-14.php

Has anyone used one, are they any good? Don't know whether to opt for this, or buy a proper one at £100 Plus....

Thanks

Got similar on my Daytona. Speed trip throttle tube and works fine, no reason that shouldn't!

literally the only thing I didn't like about the Daytona was the throttle which needed two grabs for full throttle (or a 16 year olds elbow). Does the QA make a big difference?

1/5th turn instead of 1/4
Feels better on track but a bit sharp on the road

shame. There is nothing wrong with the throttle response as it was - just couldn't reach full throttle. think I'd give it a go if I got another.

look up speedway throttles

they have interchangeable internal "ramps" to alter throttle response

and they are very robust

probably cheaper too
