Mrs MOz recently got rid of her iPhone on upgrade and now regularly swears at a Samsung Galaxy Alpha. She's getting use to it but I'm still not 100% sold on android or Windows shite yet but wonder if there might be life after iphone.
The one that does appeal is the Xperia Z3 due to the Piss4 remote play option.
Anyone got a Z3 and is it and good? Also, any Apple fanboys moved across to an Android device and is it the disaster I'd imagine?
I had a z3 compact before I went to my current nokia Lumia , couldn't really fault the phone good little bit of kit bloody fragile though
Got a Z3 compact. No problems so far. Good battery life for a smartphone, and waterproof too. And it's never twisted, like my sons iPhone. :rofl:
My son has one, loves it, well built, waterproof, ace screen etc etc he can't fault it and like most 'youngsters' nowadays he tried them all (apart from the piephone).
I have one, best phone I've ever had. Always had htc as never got on with the samsung implementation of android. Fancied a change so chanced the sony, I now prefer it to the htc interface now I have got used to it.
Battery life lasts me at least 2 days before recharge and have had 3 days out of it on low usage days.
Build quality seems good, was a bit concerned about the all glass body so have it in a cheap clear case off ebay.
I have always had android phones though so don't know that if you are used to using the apple software you would get on with it.

That's good to know Steve - I liked HTC but moved over to Galaxy S4 to keep up to date, and I absolutely hate it! Might try Sony :)
Another Z3 Compact convert from HTC here. Best phone I've ever had.
From what I've seen of Mrs MOz's Galaxy Alpha it really is the biggest piece of shit ever.
No way am I going to downgrade from Apple to Android. She regrets it big time.

You would think that wouldn't you , but there finally learning , I use to be a die hard apple nut , till I finally got fed up with paying three times the price of a comparative spec product because its white and has an apple logo ita pure snobbery these days.
I got my MacBook Pro and iPad from the US several hundred pounds cheaper. My iPhones I've always bought second hand, so again, not paying the "label" price they think they can command.
I'm quite happy to pay a little extra for something that works.

I agree with you there moz but the windows phones are getting very interesting windows 10 for phones should be a game changer, I dont no , but I did once own a kinroad...... .
Problem with Windows phone is that developers don't seem to give a shit about writing Apps for them.
Its getting alot better and hopefully windows 10 will put it out there
I have had a few sammys & I am used to them now.
I will have the alpha if she gets sick of it!

On the above point I have used a variety of different work phones, Sony Ericcsson, BlackBerry, HTC Desire, Samsung Galxy 3 and I am currently using the iPhone5s.
Out of all of them I like the iPhone the best, ignoring the annoying ITunes stuff and other geeky gripes it is a great outta the box easy to use, fast and good phone.
I dont need to watch episodes of Homeland on the train or write really long mails, just need to pick up work mails, call and SMS people, read the BBC app, Facebook fuckabout and browse the web.
It does that well and I prefer the menus and settings to that on the previous mentioned phones.

My missus went from HTC to iPhone and much prefers iPhone too

Ive had everything except a blackberry ,I love my windows phone only let down is the store , but as a phone it wins hands down
I've had a few spread of phones in the last few years including :
iPhone 3G
Blackberry 9700
iPhone 4S
Nexus 4
Galaxy S4
iPhone 5S
iPhone 6 Plus
I have to say I can sit here and find fault with all of them, and praise all of them. I do love the way Android lets me have the power that I want to control what I want. Being a nerd that "was" very important to me and I used to get annoyed at the way Apple limit what you can do based on their "vision".
While I still like the Android experience, and my brother had the Z3 and now the HTC M8 I can honestly say for an everyday phone that you can "just use" the iPhone wins in my book, but only just.
The user experience is better for people that have no inclination for IT or anything nerdy, it just works and you don't need to understand why. Sometimes Android can be problematic, not because it lacks power or features but because people see the array of options and just play with them.
For me it's personal preference, I love my iPhone 6 Plus, they finally got the battery life sorted, it's not as big as people mock it for being and the array of apps and experience it gives for me as a daily phone I can't fault.
All that being said, if it got stolen/broken and someone gave me a Galaxy Note 4, I'm sure I'd be finding ways to praise it and be enjoying the experience.
