well turns out my ktm has actually only done 5000ish miles....... cough and its last mot expired start of 2011 so it looks like its been stood its going in for its mot tomorrow it will fail on the tyre but that's being sorted , it runs fine etc but what do I need to do , to keep it running its best for aslong as possible?

Well I've asked what I will need to do Maintanance wise... And no answers have been relevent , and of course I ask questions I'm doing my bit to liven up the forum!
If it were me I'd change the oil and filters every 1000 miles if it's an LC4.
Ask on the KTM forum of you aren't sure.
What else would you normally do to look after a bike? There's no unique things you KTM needs that other bikes don't.

it was more in the respect that its more than likely been standing for 4 years.....
Plugs, oil, filters, clean out carb, fresh fuel, check tyre condition, bearings, brakes (fluid and caliper clean) etc etc

I was going to but was not going to go quite to the extent , was just going to check everything and do full fluids

Hey ill manage to get them in ok but putting the front end of the bike back on is another matter! That's providing I dont knock it off the mx lift
