Question:
If I had a knackered old ZX7R taking up space in my garage, I'd:
Option 1: Sell it, burn it, forget about it forever
votes: 2
Option 2: Resto' job..... back to factory fresh
votes: 5
Option 3: Old skool track day too for classic track days
votes: 4
Option 4: Throw some fuel in it, ride it as it is
votes: 4
Option 5: Other ideas......
votes: 2
Not that I'll get around to it any time soon, but I'm curious....
Bullet is a crayon monkey and he is making a lovely job of his ZXR restoration with a fraction of your garage resources.
Sure you could do it if you tried.
Sell it. If you honestly think it's going to sit there and never get finished then personally I'd sell it.
However, if you don't need the money, it's not taking up loads of room, and it's not rotting then I guess you have the luxury of just leaving it "just in case" you get around to it :)

Of course, I've built loads of bikes...... but never whilst single handedly restoring a house.....

Exactly dear boy..... one day I will 'get around to it'...... or not......
Its all about priorities, and this is not one of hers.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I'm crying cos it's true
Personally I'd be loathed to sell it, on the grounds that whoever bought it would probably do a bang up job restoring it and then I'd want to punch their smug looking face in
What's the current condition/state of said bike?

does it need anything doing other than the obvious?
dunno, it's not ran in a while so I imagine carbs will need stripping.
not sure if the battery will take a charge either.
I've managed to clear the garage out this weekend, so I guess stripping it down to look like a half decent work in progress would not be too much work.

depending on if it needs "money" a chucked at it and a lot of time, if its only minor you'd be silly not to turn it into a useable bike again
It owes you sod all, it's not really in the way, leave it in the garage for when the house refurb is finished and then tart it up at your leisure :azn:

OR THIS!
doesn't look that bad ;) Ive ridden far worse! Give it a clean/service bolt the fairings and screen back on and just ride it until you feel like or have the time to do anything more with it. carb cleaning doesnt take that long and a battery isnt much
"Ride it like you stored it"
Restore....I want to see a Rosette with a No1 concourse winner.
Sell it to me as a track bike :)
I would sit on it first. To see if you still fit it. ;)

After consideration, I'm probably going to punt it on, so offers welcomed via PM.
Not going to advertise in the for sale section as I've no idea what it's worth or what I want for it, so I can't comply with site rules and give a Ninja discount. Suffice to say, you'll get a brew and a cuddle.
Just bung it up there you spang, your presence on here is all the discount we need
packet of hob nobs and a pie?
