Right then people. Another brake question for anyone who's swapped calipers on a b1. I have just purchased a set of 0 miles tokico monoblocks and have the decision now of the offset of the pistons. My standard calipers sit fairly low but the new monoblocks are higher when you sit them next to each other (hopefully in the pic) is it easier to buy new discs to match the calipers or does anyone know how much I have to shave off my posts (easy enough at work) to make the pads sit at the right height? Either ray I just need to know what disc to look for or a definate amount to take off the posts. Cheers people. AGAIN lol
Are the zx10r discs for 04/05 320mm diameter?
pretty sure the 10r 04/05 has 300mm discs off the top of my head, will get a tape out and check after work when I get the chance
If they are 300mm then bare with me on this. I need 10mm spacers for the calipers. Not a problem but if you look in the pic the height difference between the mounting points is roughly 7mm from what I measured. I'm assuming that I will only need 3mm spacers to make up the difference between the two calipers and the distance between the mounting points?
Ash has done a caliper swap on his B1 but I think he used Yamaha R6 monoblocks on his.
He may be able to help out with his experience.. you might even find the thread on it if have a search round the site...

Wasnt that long ago either
Very true. I have been scouring everywhere on a limited budget for new brakes but im putting it on the bike now as want the brakes sorted lol. I've got some 300mm discs coming so just need to work out what spacers I need for them and im sorted.
