So my new Boss decided not to tell me his brother owns a race kitted Desmocedici.
He turns up at the airfield Trackday yesterday and utters the immortal words "take it out if you want".
What a bike. What an engine. £40k was cheap.
I want one.
For sale 2015 R1
Nah. R1 is better.
Plus I am £30k short.
This is why I don't ride other people's bikes.
They have usually spent three times what I have and it makes what I have been perfectly happy riding before feel like a shed.
The engine made the experience. I wasn't going to risk dropping my Boss's brother P&J!!!

very true you could get something a hell of a lot faster round a track for the same money

The vast majority of people would lap a track in around the same pace on anything from a fairly modern 600 to a full blown superbike...............
Moz had his new R1 parked next to the Desmo when I was looking looking at it and while I'd take the R1 out of the two, the Ducati is something special.
desmo is still my dream bike
although wouldnt complain about having a RC213V-S either
I went to the Local Duke dealers Saturday, fell in love with the 899 Panigale
You thinking of a two wheeled comeback Terry?

Was offered a test ride but managed to walk away
Tuck I do get tempted now and again however in all honesty maybe track only if it was
Listened/watched to moz ride this.....he was being very careful (as I would on my boss's brother 40K bike).
It did sound great when he started to get his head round it.
The conversation when he handed it back was funny from a bystander who knows moz point of view.
YOU WERE VERY POLITE MARK!!!
Course I was. It was my new Boss's brother (who says I can ride it again next time). Always pay the correct courtesies to Senior Officers and their Desmo riding family members!
I introduced the Desmo to its redline a couple of times, had the front wheel airborne (I am pilot) and just about got my knee on the deck (before having a sensible caption and taking it a bit easier).
I reckon I may have got my head half way round it ;)
Looks shit, wrong colour, should have spoked wheels.
And yes, very envious.
I reckon its the colour that drew moz too it.....its a ground based red arrow
Nah. Noise is what matters
