right never changed a filter before well not that I can remember how to I go about it , do I have to pour oil in it etc etc and so forth what's the procedure?
you should google shit like that....... you know full well, asking questions like that on here won't yield a satisfactory, none piss taking response until at least page 4.
When I do it, I fill the filter up and rub some oil on the rubber o-ring.
I deduct what I have poured into the filter from the recommended amount of oil and add the rest in the usual manner.
Never had a problem.

I did I found fuck all model related
Hammer a screw driver through the old one to undo it. Pop the new one on dry, do it up hand tight (smear your ring with fresh oil, pop some on the filter too). Fill bike with oil, run it, leave for 5 minutes to go and have a brew. Check level and top up if necessary.
So there we have it...... in typical internet forum styleee... we have two different answers to the same question......

I never said mine was right. I do know it works though as my bikes still run and haven't seized up

Personally I prefer to use a filter spanner to get it off if I can, less messy, but the screwdriver works a treat.
I took to filling the filter as it made it easier to get the recommended amount in without doing the running it and coming back phase.
Although I still run it and then check it.
Had mixed results with pre-filling the oil filter.
The g1 was fine the b1 would never put the oil light out if I pre-filled the filter.
Personally I'll not bother in the future.
Just make sure you nip the blighter up....... I did mine before the Valley track day and it came loose pissing oil out.
MC101 to the rescue.
Got the filter off by hand was bloody hard id fill the filter but it would just pour out when I tip it up not entirely sure how much oil it should have as I've seen different ammounts

The b1 is a bitch for that. Air locks badly.
well its all done hopefully the filter wont fall off........ she will thank me for the top shelf oil she now has
I put about 3.6ltr in her so she should have enough oil light goes off like it should

I no , I had read about some people filling the filter//not filling the filter and then not being able to get the light to go off
it will probably end up with the whole 4 litres in it , need to take it for a run come back and check level (the level wont move) I can lean the bike and it doesn't budge one bit
