Title: Phil the Magician
Post by: MOzZereLLa on December 09, 2015, 11:08:10 PM
Had a mega road trip today, 578 miles to Seton Tunig and back to collect my bike.

Full Ti Decat system, flash tune with Phil Seton's own remap, a little bit of tweaking, new air filter and a bit of Dyno time.

204.15 BHP.

Phil Seton is a genius and a gent. Well worth the drive.

First ride in Spring will be an eye opener.......

Now to try and find someone whom I trust to sort the fucking gearbox recall.

Standard R1 is very snatchy so smoothed that out. It's the only system on the R1 which is sensible noise-wise so good for road riding around here.

It was too good a deal to turn down.

At the wheel.

Phil Seton reckons a breathed on 2015 S1000RR he has been working on produces 232 RWBHP.

If you're talking about embarrassing me on a bike that is twice as old as I am then I agree!

hmm.............who had the final say on the layout and who was told that that corner "was an accident waiting to happen" after the first session.........?

Glad you got it sorted and it's amazing that you can get that level of power from a road going bike without opening up the engine. Impressive doesn't even begin to cover it.

Eggy had the final say. I just went with it........

I suspect I'll take (yet more) lessons away from that. Sadly considering the carnage in front of me I got away lightly and I have been very lucky one of Mr Seton's sponsors helped me sort it out.

Looks good fella - it'll be night and day even more so after a winter lay off !!

I've also seen Cliff's S1000RR superbike first hand ... very smart.  Best way (nearly) you can spend £65K of anyones money ;-)
