Earlier altercation, the car then drives down the wrong side of the road intent on taking him out.

This kind of conduct should result in a lifetime ban from driving.

No place for that sort of shit on the roads.

Little annoys me more than when a driver petulantly uses their vehicle as a weapon to seek to reinforce some spurious point that they have in their tiny minds.

If you're too dumb to realise that if you deliberately cause a biker to crash, you could kill them, you're too dumb too drive.

Funny how some people get really pissed off about being overtaken. As if it's some kind of personal insult.

"That'll teach you for overtaking me. F*cking prick".

I assume it's the whole psychological territorial behaviour stuff. I've not read up on it but I know studies have been done into how people can vastly change demeanour when behind the wheel of a car. Then you just get the arrogant idiots who are also ill informed and feel it's their personal responsibility to impede bikers from filtering because its "dangerous" and more importantly "illegal" (in their informed opinion).

Either that or they just refuse to settle for any less of an outcome other than "if I have to sit in traffic, then so do you pal".

I didn't do alot of road miles in 2015 but of the few thousand I did do, the amount of people on the commute to work and back felt the need to correct my riding skills by blocking any attempt to filter. And when I did filter, several took it upon themselves to drive very erratically to make my attempt as awkward as possible, putting me in a situation where I either had to slam on and yield, or out accelerate them, thus causing them to propagate their impression that all bikers ride like idiots.

The irony is, I tend to be less likely to filter than alot of bikes on the road so I wouldn't even say it's my choices of when to filter. Meh.

I've come to the conclusion that commuting to work on a motorbike is near on suicide. I think folk are simply in a world of their own, thinking about work, family, life, half asleep and anything inbetween.

Give me Sunday drivers anyday.

Not defending any of these actions...but to add to this some of the filtering I have seen in recent times ranges from aggressive to suicidal...and despite being a biker it angered me to be subjected to these arseholes.

To be fair, on the motorway in the home counties and through central London, I find far more people actively try to get out of my way to let me filter than try to get in my way.

Even more so when I'm on the Panigale than on the Triumph. Probably because 1. it's noisy so they look for it in their mirrors and 2. people assume that it will be going fast because it looks fast and is noisy.

I'd like to think that they also move aside because they appreciate seeing a sweet-looking bike and feel well disposed towards it, but that's probably me projecting!

Although funnily enough, I've found I get more admiring looks and thumbs-ups for the Triumph than the Pani - usually from little boys and middle-aged to elderly men...

It's a general mardy attitude to everything that brings on the rage of any sort.... if someone is in a bad mood or is a habitual c*nt then anything and everything is an affront to them.

I notice a complete change in attitude from place to place or dependant on the time of day it is. As an example, the second I get back into Devon (out of holiday season) the whole attitude changes and people actively get out of your way, a lot pull over and give you a thumbs up. Manchester City Centre in rush hour, people will try and have you off and then tell you what a c8nt you are for being on the road.

People's demeanour to each other is shocking sometimes, it upsets me greatly. Last night I waited patiently behind a cyclist when the gap to overtake was a bit small. Assuming that I'd just go for it anyway he was riding over potholes and in puddles to get out of my way - when I waited for a decent space to go past without crowding him he turned round and gave me a thumbs up..... all was right with the world.   :moto:

This morning, I was on the push bike trying to get across from the middle of two lanes where I had been filtering, to the inside lane to get out of the way and was given the same reaction by a range rover as if I had sh1t on her car! easily running the first hour of my day.... she's probably still angry now!  :undecided:

Doing 200 plus miles a week in rush hour both ways through Guildford I can say I get people change lanes on me most days and cut me up frequently. You definitely pick up a sick sense for it though and its a risk I am prepared to make, I don't fitler through stationary traffic at more than 25mph and ten to avoid filtering once things get moving above 40mph. I often get passed by bikers filtering through traffic moving at 50-60mph certainly they riding always looks fine but its just a bit to risky for me with the amount of commuting I do.

Lewis Guildford is full of cunts, especially on the one way system round past the Friary centre. Utter cunts that haven't got a clue which lane to be in.
