Title: Gloves
Post by: 636steve on August 03, 2013, 08:54:49 PM
After 6 or so years of faithful service my RST gloves have finally started to fall apart, literally.

So what gloves do you recommend and where is the best place to get them from.

Knox Biomech (one down from the handroid).

Superbly made, cuff closure mechanism is genius, comfortable and reasonably priced.  Its the glove most Knox sponsored racers use due to the fit.

Tried the Biomechs on yesterday and they are indeed a nice bit of kit. Also tried the A/stars GP Plus which were also very nice.

Might go with the Biomechs seeing as the wife is paying :)

THE top flight glove is the HELD TITAN ....

I've crashed in A*'s, Spidi, BKS gloves and have always either destroyed the gloves or broken fingers x2, Scaphoid x2 -- I've now crashed in the Held Titan's twice and the gloves still look like new and much more importantly I've picked up no injuries whatsoever.

Look at why they are extremely popular in club racing ...

But considering they have the choice of any Knox glove why do you think they don't go for the "top of the range" one??

Held are awesome but very expensive.

Just had a look at the Titans, look very nice, but too far out of my budget unfortunately.

Cos the top of the range falls to pieces in a few days ?

Having broke numerous bones in the hands in lesser gloves I'd say the titans as pricey as they are worth every penny.  There's nothing like broken fingers to remind you when you least expect it that you should have bought better gloves !

I bought the Held Motorcycle Race Gloves RS 1000 Blk Wht for £100 from an outlet shop in camberly. Generally can be seen retailing around £160 at most other shops such as get geared.

If they float your boat they Could be a good compromise on price v performance?
