Title: Dolly Trailers
Post by: LewisBeGoog on July 07, 2016, 02:52:12 PM
Has anyone used 1?  I do not have storage for a full size trailer or even a folding 1 so this looks like an option for the 1 or 2 trackdays a year I might attend.

I guess I have 2 major concerns...

Dragging a bike along in Neutral with the rear wheel on the deck. Should I be worried?

And generally how secure the bike is?

Be interested to hear if anyone has used 1.

Sounds like the name of a Victorian Prostitute....

Never used one (Dolly Trailer that is), but other than a bit of tyre wear I don't see a problem.  It will be as secure as you make it.

Can't imagine the tyre wear will be that bad as it's not under power. Plus it would only be 2 more local track's as I'm 2 lazy to go to far.

I've had my bike towed on one by the AA or similar (can't remember who) and it looked a tidy bit of kit!

My only worry would be if you binned it how would it tow?

You have to a pretty major destruction exercise on a bike for the wheels, frame and forks to part company.
