Title: 7r, again...pissing clutch fluid this time
Post by: R84 on July 08, 2016, 11:08:33 PM
New problem :violent1:

Started bike, started first time, nice one. Look down, fluid all over the inside of the belly pan, dripping down the kickstand. Appeared to be coming from behind the sprocket cover. Decided it was likely clutch fluid as it was clear, and the m/c level had dropped by about half. I understand this could be the slave cylinder seal. Some googling suggests that my slave cylinder seal has gone. I had thought it was the pushrod seal at first as i'd been battering the can trying to remove it and thought the seal could have worked loose, but apparently this would give me an engine oil leak, not clutch fluid? Is this right? If so, I need to replace the slave cylinder seal?
