Had 90 minutes or so on the latest one of these this morning in damp and drizzly Surrey conditions. A25 Dorking to Guildford and then some weaving through some traffic on a pretty busy A3.
Hell's teeth, that thing is fast!
Complete and utter lunacy for the road.
Brilliant piece of kit though and dead easy just to jump on and feel comfortable on.
I have the R...as quick if not quicker in the real world...only high track day speeds would it lose out. Comfortable too.
Having owned both Alzo, the RR is quicker in nearly every circumstance.
It's too quick for the road.
Just my view.
R makes more power right up to Redline...Ive straightline tested it with RRs either side of me...nothing in it until speeds that would see liberty removed for several years...on to the twisties and the advantages of the R seating position wins hands down.
My view... ;)
Have you reached first service on your GS already?
Report and pics plz,k,thx!
Correct deduction!
Full report and pictures to follow, but I like it...
A little bit more oomph than the Triumph. And generally a bit nicer. But that's what I'd expect. It's a more expensive bike.
See what you mean about the slightly 'agricultural' nature of the motor.
Not a rocket ship like the S1000RR obviously.
Had a moment on the S1000RR test when I thought 'maybe I should have just got one of these and commuted on it'.
You could do.
It's easy to ride.
Heated grips.
Cruise control.
Cost you a bit in chains and tyres, but you could do it.
... but, it'd be lunacy.
... still might get one next year.
:)
