Well......as the title says.......i need to get rid of a bike :crybaby2:
Whats your thoughts on the following? What would you keep????
ZX10 2004......bought for track a few years back but ive bought road trim for it and it has full MOT etc. Standard apart from ZX14 front calipers and Ohlins damper, Serviced and set up by Dave wood racing. If i was to selll, it would have track body, along with road trim, Akky slip on, spare tank, spare track body, spare chinese road bodyork and a spare (untested) rad or 2....and anything else i can find.
ZX6RR 2004......Bought as a track bike. Its got a 636 engine fitted. It also has the original 6RR engine as a spare, wets on wheels, Akky slip on, spare sprockets, spare brake pads, Race ECU in a box, Ohlins rear shock, Ohlins damper, spare track bodywork, lockwired, serviced and set up by Dave wood racing, Single bike Erde trailer (bike was a former mcnninja bike)
Or.........do i get sell both and get my dream bike...... BMW HP4 Carbon?
Keep the zx6r
Both unless you're doing trackdays.

And people wonder why people have given up posting on here!
;)
Sell the 10 , buy the BMW and give me the 6 as a consultation fee so you don't feel guilty about selling both bikes ;)
Cheers folks....i think ive decided......Im going to sell the 10r and keep the 6rr and do a season of trackdays on it and see if i can improve, as the 10 is way more than i can honestly handle :undecided:
I will get some pics over the next few weeks and give mcnninjas first dibs before it goes on general sale.
Good call, think you will have more fun with the 6 on track too.
It would be my choice of the pair.

Separate question. Does the rr have a different ecu and loom to the 636? As I understand it (limited understanding) the 600 had twin injectors per cylinder and greater power output than the 636.
Hi mate, From memory they use the same ECU. The injectors are the same part number (49033-1059) and the power commander is the same part (207-410).......but i do recalll exactly what you re asking but dont know why?
There is a race ECU for the K1, which i have but its not been fitted or mapped to the bike.

I'm just curious. I'm sure I saw power outputs for the k1 being quite a bit more than the b1 and assumed it was down to it having twin injectors per cylinder compared to single on the b1. Which made me think, if someone had a b1 and got a k1 engine they could in theory port and gas flow the k1 head and fit that to a b1 636 bottom end and get quite a bit more power... maybe!?
I think out of the box the K1 is down by quiet a bit over the B1 but with the optional race kit it brings it up. Im sure there are people in the know that will be able to correct me :moto:
