Title: Only a broken elbow
Post by: T.C on March 08, 2017, 02:21:14 PM
One lucky rider.

Also a good example of how a video cam can be beneficial.  Certainly helps as far as getting an admittance of liability is concerned for the personal injury claim.

Ouch.

Not much he could say as a defence there.

Urgh.... shudder. Looked like van driver was in bright light and looking into a dark tunnel of trees. Can see how a lack of care could cause that very quickly!

Can't help but think if I would have managed more to try and miss the van? I understand it's not an easy situation to judge, but shouting 'stop' definitely didn't help!

Van driver got off lightly didn't he!? £80 fine for pulling across the front of someone! But check your mobile phone when sitting sat a standstill in traffic and you get £200 fine and 6 points! Doesn't seem right!?
