Been thinking about buying a track day bike for next year while I build the SuperTwin (but now probably a brand new one)
I've always fancied an RC8 ... anyone had one or tried one on track?
Thoughts ??
Or maybe an RSV4, but that would divert too many funds from the supertwin

I've done a few laps round brands hatch on an RC8R , it did everything I could have wanted it to and went exactly where I wanted it to while putting a massive grin on my face
Difficult to set up but pin sharp once dialled. A walk in the park for you my friend.
They need either a reflash or a set up Power Commander though as the low down fuelling is horrendous.
And you'll struggle to get on most track days with a decent race exhaust on them - they are very noisy.
Loved mine. Give Dave Wood a call at DWR Motorcycles. I'm pretty sure he rode in (and maybe even won) the RC8 Cup when it supported the BSB. It might have even been when you were racing in Superstock?? He may have some good tips.
As MOz said, Dave raced the RC8 in the BSB support series and won the championship on it. He knows the bike inside out and can sort the fueling out and probably give you set ups for most of the BSB circuits. Even if you dont get the RC8 he can sort your bike out. Hes worth a call.
I was at Daves yesterday and Paul Dedman (TT podium) popped in for a cuppa..... apparantly he split his pelvis in half when he crashed at the NW200!!!!! Crazy that he still wants to ride and race bikes  :moto:
Talking of supertwins....i think hes got James Edmeades a TT/NW200 prepped one for sale?
Doesn't matter how it rides, you'll look fucking mint...... get one
Spoke to Shaun Gilbert who I used to race with and he said the gearboxes are cheese and you miss gears a lot
And you struggle to get them through the noise testers too
Soooo
Change of plan
ZX10R with traction and buy some big boy pants
But then I may wimp out and get a 600 ... in the words of a Thai brass "you old man, have no power"
