Title: Norton factory visit
Post by: Andy M on August 13, 2013, 02:23:33 PM
I dropped into Norton at Donnington Park last friday for a quick look around the factory. Good to see a british company doing well and about to launch internationally. They do a lot of their fabrication on site which suprised me. Will post up a few pictures when I get chance.

Best part was it was free, I think they only do them every now and again when certain events at the circuit (there was a classic bike meeting) are on so give them a shout if you are heading over its worth a look around. Very nice blokes too, wish them every success

That looks like a preety cool place top visit :)  do they assemble the bikes on a regular bike lift then, no production line? oldschool   tyres on the salt flat racers look interesting too, almost like wets?

yep everything built to order, 2 guys build one bike subject to spec in 1 day on a lift. The tyres on the salt racers seemed to be a wet but not quite as many treads as one deisgned for water
