Just a general pondering on PCP. But it is bike related.
I currently have my BMW car on a PCP scheme through Park lane BMW (due to military discount) and being the only BMW dealership in the UK owned by BMW themselves. Now next July its up and I have already decided its going regardless, either by selling it and paying the balloon payment off or just handing it back.
However it has occurred to me that both BMW and BMW Motard have their finance in the same place. So the crux is do you think BMW would allow me to use the equity in my car to put down on a bike PCP? effectively jumping from BMW to BMW Motard and continuing with a bike PCP instead?
I am just wondering if anyone has any experience of this maybe. I also know the obvious answer is speak to Park lane about it .
I don't know for certain but yes I suspect so.
Military deals count for bikes too.
I don't see why not. The BMW dealer near me has bikes and cars on the same forecourt.
Of course they will, the equity if there is any is yours to do with as you will, its all about the underwrite on your car for the Motorrad side. I cant CAP cars anymore but I may be able to get some help there if needed..
Cool. Thanks, I am pretty sure the underwriters are the same, looking at my contract and the T&C on the Motard site. Looks like it could be a go.
If this is of relevance...at dealers today a chap come and got his new R nine T this morning...he traded his BMW Mini in for it...so it looks positive...but no idea if PCP was involved.
