Title: Fresh day
Post by: Kitb4460 on January 01, 2019, 02:27:51 PM
Whilst many were probably still suffering from over indulgence last night.

I was bright eyed and bushy tailed today .

Took Zed out for a burl. Few dry roads but loads of micro climates.

The new Lextek downpipes fitted just before Christmas sound bloody awesome.

I have noticed that the snatchy throttle response from standard on lower revs has gone. Lots better in 1st and 2nd.

Still not using full rev range as not had first service yet. Pulls very well in 5th and 6th from low speed.

All in all..

I LOVE IT.

Cleaned both of my bikes yesterday. I then winterised them. See you in May

Still think that's a gorgeous bike. Nice one, Kit! Mine are going to stay in the garage for a while yet. There's too much snow and ice about here at the moment.

Did the headers do away with the cat ? You should see about getting the ECU reflashed.
Sweet looking bike, though I think it would look better if the stripes on the fairing just went straight rather than swoop over the headlight.  :moto: :moto:

Yeah CAT is gone Davie. The shop have been running their demo with full Lextek system after trialing just headers. They said it ran better just with the headers and standard can like i have and nothing done to ECU. And are changing it back to same as mines.

Bike seems ok , though it has not been run up to high revs.

How much and where / who does the flashing thingy ?

Thanks

Not sure who reflashes the ECU for the z900. Somebody will.
I sent mine to Ivans Performance in the US of A. There are folk in the UK who do it though.

Won't help you in the slightest but Dave Wood MCs in aylesbury will definitely be able to do it.
