thank you most kindly for correcting my school boy error.
I had a Bosch one and it was rubbish
Brother had one too and that confirmed the above
Got very hot in use and batteries failed very quickly
Anything more than a bicycle tyre and it was stumped
That was a few years ago so things may have improved :rolleyes:
Had a few cheap car ones too and they've been OK for the odd car tyre but never lasted long
Finally went for a T-MAX (https://www.jgs4x4.co.uk/t-max-12v-air-compressor-small-portable-heavy-duty-tyre-inflator-car-truck-4x4/) portable inflator and it'll blow up big 4x4 tyres in minutes :cool:
Got one of these for out on the trails.
Runs off a 12v cig socket wired to the bikes battery. Seems OK so far.

Yep, the RAC branded stuff does get good press ;)
I have it for the car (rac) gets bloody hot and takes a while to blow up but it's not failed yet
