Title: Yamaha pw80 kids bike copy, jianshee.
Post by: Evil636 on August 26, 2013, 07:27:05 PM
We bought our lad one for crimbo and was wondering if anyone knows a bit about them to get a bit more speed/power out of them. The clutch is limited and only revs so much so I know it's got a bit more go in it somewhere but just need pointing in the right direction. Cheers people.

Standard tuning with those sorts of things are always the same I guess?

Heavy duty clutch springs, so its reving higher when it pulls away, giving better acceleration.
Bigger card jets, cone type filter. Change the sprockets to either give more top end or better acceleration.
Lighter reed valves too if they have them

Might be worth looking at minimoto tuning sites, see what sort of generic parts they offer?
