Title: New pads
Post by: 1-600-matt on August 31, 2013, 09:51:52 PM
I bought some brembo pads to replace the tired looking stock ones! They are the SC version! Anyone got any experience/advice for bedding them in? It's for a track bike so there is no opportunity for gentle road use.

The sighting laps should sort it

Maybe drag the brakes for a fair bit on lap 1, easy lap 2 to let them cool a bit, then gradually pick up the pace from lap 3.

It's what I did with my SBS DCs...

+1

I bedded my SC's in on a cold day on the way to work, felt fine after the first few miles. Had only done 40 miles on them pre-trackday and I had no concerns. Just use the sighting laps and give them time to warm up.

Cheers all.
Will be my first time at brands and is a free day from Michelin for buying some supersport tyres earlier in the year.
