had the carb rejetted and balanced as my bike was spluttering as if it was starved of fuel between 3-4 rpm it seemed to cure it but it has started to do it again i haven't let it go low on fuel it seems to be worse when the bike is warmed up any ideas cant work it out :undecided:

Could be electrical and what ever it is only starts to break down once it's warmed up.. fouled plug, dodgy plug lead.. rectifier
could be any number of things really..
Have you tried to narrow it down to a single cyclinder ?
it's just a case of trial an error really, swapping part for know working ones, unless you want to hand it over to a bike shop with a blank cheque for them to fix it...

ive changed the plugs on it the carbs were rejetted and balanced at a garage i use ive also changed the fuel filter, now you mention the plug caps they didnt look too clever when i changed the plugs by that i mean the contact points inside it might be worth changing them first
I get a similar thing on my R6 and from time to time on the R1. These are both injected so this may not be much use, but I only run the bikes on super unleaded the normal stuff seems to upset them, also I stay clear of the supermarket stuff as sometimes that doesn't help. It's as though one of the injectors is blocked. I BP or she'll the best and I will fill the bike up and take it for a blast down the motorway in a low gear to really force the fuel through, only a short run in first the I just flick it up the box. Anyway generally this works... If it doesn't I get some putinoil (I know I have spelt it wrong) and that has always fixed it. I realise this is not a mechanical or technical answer, I'm no good with that stuff, but it does work for me, so I guess in saying try some carb cleaner, it may work it may not, but it's better than sending it to the dealer.

thanks steve the last time i filled it up which was last saturday i put super unleaded in and it seems to have made a slight difference its not doing it as much when i had the jets done they cleaned the carbs out, might try changing the coil packs to see if that makes any difference aswell
