Title: ZX9R F model - 2004 can and link pipe
Post by: stevie b on October 08, 2013, 06:59:53 AM
Hi guys, looking for a link pipe and aftermarket can for the above, anyone have anything?

There's plenty of E and C model ones out there it the F ones are rather hard to come by.

Cheers

Stevie

The link pipe and end cans from an E1 E2 C1 C2 will fit. IIRC it's only the headers that are different.

I don't think the link pipes are interchangeable between models - I'm pretty sure C's don't have a separate link pipe and the E's and F's differ by one having a female fitting at the end of the headers and the other having a male.

You are right Andy. Just checked pics of my previous 9's. All zx9r c e and f bolt on cans are interchangable.
I am sure e and f link pipes are too.

I think you're right about the bolt-on - rather than slip-on - cans but I'm pretty sure that the F headers finish in a male fitting while the E's finish in a female fitting and are therefore not interchangable.

Yup, that the problem guys, the bolt on can would be fine, it's the headers exit to the link pipe, only an aftermarket F link would work.

Can get E and C link pipes all day long, it's trying to find an F one that's the problem. Lol
