Bike Talk / Re: Cyclist...................

So if there are 20 cyclists 2 abreast in the road, how long would the tailback stretch I'd there were 20 cyclists in single file?

Think about it...trucks, buses, nervous drivers, scooters etc all holding back

Xr650. Old but cheap and bullet proof. Sound awesome and wheelie through the box.

Bike Talk / Re: Knee pain on sports bikes

Moz, good advice from Giles that is. Tight IT bands are a common complaint with cyclists and something I suffer from regularly. When mine get overly tight, it pulls across my left knee in particular causing pain and inflammation. The only remedy for me is the foam roller or physio/sports massage on the area. Foot position may be worth considering as if the toes point in, the itb's are stressed moret than if they point out.

Eupen to the Nurburgring via the b258 about 4yrs ago. I was on the favourite bike I've owned - GSXR1000K6 along with my best mates who were on 2 blades and an r1. Epic roads, epic bikes, crazy speeds, great company. Wide sweeping roads perfectly surfaced, knees on deck, wheelies over crests and past cars, 20 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. 5 days off work with about 500 euros stuffed in my pocket to see me through. Perfect! :-)

I say go for the Motul as per the pickled one's suggestion.

I used Castrol "super" dot 4 over the regular stuff for the same reason - higher boiling point. Gotta be better ain't it!?!?

Its a lot cheaper to get yourself zinging around a large clear roundabout 30 times on the trot. Thats how most people learn, no??!!

(I did - 1996, zxr400, round and round and round and round, then scraaaaaaaaape - job done).
