Glad that you finally have it back  :azn:, I hate to think how much that day cost you in total  did you ever reveal the truth to her indoors  ;)

As for the help mate as I said at the time you are welcome  :azn:

Bike Talk / Got the R1 back
February 05, 2014, 07:17:37 AM
After our little off at oulton park last October the R1 is now back and in full working order, she has had almost a complete set of fairings, clock, ecu, front and rear sub frames but she is now looking almost as new, I say almost because there is a small crack in the air box cover which I have had plastic welded. I've not replaced that because it details that she is number 1223 of the 2000 world wide 50th anniversary model R1s. It was an expensive doo and I'm not too sure my stress levels can manage another track day, but hay, it's not the end of the world, I'm just glad to gat the bike back.

Once again a really big thanks to Iain.... Without your help mate the bike would probably be still at oulton.

A very happy Steve  :azn:

Bit of nostalgia how bikes and styles have changed.

One of them pics wasn't at the old burtonwood air base near Warrington?

Dan - Pursue the bastard through MCOL if you've not already (I think it looks like you have).

Charge him statutory late payment charges and the limit via MCOL is £100K.  Our experience is as soon as someone sees a claim from HM Justice Service they tend to cough up fairly pronto.

Going forward on your invoices, if your agreeing a discount put some text like:

"Rapid Settlement Discount of £NNN is applied if the invoice is settled by dd/mm/yy else the full amount of £NNN becomes due thereafter."

I would also include some words around rapid settlement discount is not applied to part payment of invoice, so by paying £4k he would have lost the £7k discount you gave him.

Just another thought.

Good luck

I think that is the worst tank pad I have ever seen.....

Was a gift...had to go on....better than advertising some random biker fashion house brand...harks back to the Ed Roth stuff of the 60's  (which I like)

It's your bike mate, if you like it cool.

I have same problem as you cold hands, though they do say that means a warm heart.

Let us know how you get on with them

Looks really superb love the red circle round the baffle. Really sets the bike off.

When I worked at the airport I used to regularly go through the tunnels just to hear the sound. Bet it's perfect.

Enjoy mate

Very very nice mate, you must have been a good boy this year for Father Christmas to be bringing you that.

I am always a good boy

As I know after you trailered my bike to Yamaha after my little off at oulton.

At the end of the day government don't like bikes, we are seen as an irritation.

So electric mountain bike or electric pedal cycle fine environmentally friendly

Electric motorbike is a motorbike...... Nasty stuff..... The public don't like em.

Sorry for the negativity

But I too would love one but it would have to be small enough for my short legs to deal with
