So this is my trackbike and I want to turn the idle speed up a bit to try and stop it skipping the back wheel about when downshifting. Do I need to adjust the throttle position sensor?

I'm looking for a cheap tyre warmer, it's only gonna be used to warm knobblies up a bit to make fitting easier... So it doesn't matter if it's tatty as  long as it gets warm

so far i have been on road tyres only. latest set are pilot power super-sport.
Wondering if there is much benefit in going to a full on trackday tyre? can you really notice much difference?

So it's a 2005 and in about 200 miles of green lane pootling used all but about 100ml of its oil!!

Two questions...

So engine out to find slightly worn everything!! Cams are worn on the journal but may stick them back in until it dies as I really don't fancy forking out for a head. Valve clearances non-existent on two of the inlets and the shims are at min thickness so needs valve seats... Will I get away with the original valves with new seats?

Cylinder bore is fairly worn in places and a bit scored, but not very bad, rings are well worn, plus the ring gaps were all very close to being aligned!! Piston is a vertex and doesn't look too bad, but gonna bore the cylinder and re-coat and give it a stock piston and ring set. Will the stock piston make any noticeable difference compared to the vertex? Apart from hopefully not burning all it's oil inside a couple of rides!!!

I bought some brembo pads to replace the tired looking stock ones! They are the SC version! Anyone got any experience/advice for bedding them in? It's for a track bike so there is no opportunity for gentle road use.

I'm in the midst of rebuilding a lower suspension linkage on my wr250 and have got to the point of installing the seals.
There is a metal face with markings, and a rubber face. Is it metal side with markings to the outside??

It's an allballs kit and I have looked at their site but it doesn't say what way round the seals should face!! Any ideas appreciated?!!

Anyone know the wr250 range well??
I have bought one but am not sure if its a 2005 or 2004!

The 2003 got an electric starter and the 2007 has an ally frame, so I'm def in this range.
It's not a 2006 as it has an extra pipe round the engine and the rectifier moved onto the headstock. But the 2004 or 2005 I am struggling to tell apart. I need bearings for the rear shock linkage and allballs show the 2005 as having a separate part number!
Any ideas??
